I am, first and foremost, a storyteller.
Every time I present and tell the story of my life, I put on a show. Because I don’t want my audiences to just listen and then clap politely at the end.
That’s why my presentation is an emotional journey. At some points, audiences roar with laughter at my antics. In other moments, they shed quiet tears as they reflect on the challenge of being human.
Ultimately, I invite every audience into my story so they can begin exploring their own lives with greater imagination. This connection empowers them to discover possibilities and take their next steps into greatness.

In his 40+ years of public speaking, Alvin has entertained more than 2 million people across 5 different continents. His incredible true story inspires audiences to explore their lives with greater imagination and transform their obstacles into amazing opportunities.
When he’s not on stage, Alvin loves mastering sports video games and prides himself on being the best driver in his family. He shares his life with his wife and business partner, Darlene; his adult son, Vance; and assorted pets. They all live in beautiful Calgary, Canada.

What’s more, in 2022, the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers recognized Alvin for his role in raising over $225 million for assorted charities throughout his career.

How Alvin travels & prepares for your event
You might think that traveling is complicated for an armless guy like me. Well, I have good news: I’m a professional traveler and a remarkably low-maintenance guest.
As a general rule, I travel solo and can access ground transportation on my own. As such, I’m extremely flexible when it comes to budgets.
I also never travel on the day of an event. I want to arrive early and well-rested, prepared to deliver to the best of my abilities.
Want me to stay longer? I’m happy to stay on after my keynote and attend social events so I can engage with your delegates in a more intimate setting.
