Perseverance is born
from possibilities

As someone who was born without arms, my life is pretty unique. There aren’t many people who use their feet to do everyday things like driving a car, let alone play the drums or piano.

And yet my story is also universal. If you’re human, then you and I have an awful lot in common. We all want to be seen, heard, and loved. We want to feel like our lives mean something. We get frustrated when we bump into obstacles that disrupt our lives.

I know what that feels like. Believe me, I’ve been there a few times.

What I’ve discovered – and now share with my audiences – is that you can transform any obstacle into boundless possibilities. That insurmountable challenge you’re facing is actually an incredible opportunity.

I’d love to take you on a personal journey through my story so you can discover how to live a life filled with gratitude and hope, no matter what you’re up against.

Step into Your Greatness™

Be inspired. Push through obstacles.
Create more possibilities.

Every single person walks around with an invisible label stuck to their forehead.

It’s like one of those nametags you get at awkward networking events. Except that these labels don’t tell people your name. Instead, they describe your limitations.

As a guy without any arms, I’ve worn a lot of labels in my life. “Disabled.” “Victim.” “Freak.” Good and bad, I’ve heard them all.

All these labels were given to me by other people. People who sized me up and figured me out without asking me a single question.

People who knew exactly what I could do and, more importantly, what I couldn’t.

Most of us live up to these labels. We accept what other people say about us as gospel truth. “Well, I guess I’ll never [fill in the blank],” we sigh, choosing to be restrained by these limitations.

But I believe that it doesn’t have to be that way. I believe that we can change those labels.

In your customized presentation, I will inspire you and your team to stop focusing on what’s missing and start seeing all the possibilities that are within your reach.

Yes, I’ll be entertaining. Yes, I’ll also be encouraging. However, don’t be fooled: I’m here to challenge you and your team to rip off those old labels. Because you have the power to create a new future and overcome any obstacle that stands in your way.

Are you ready to take that first step into your greatness?

Here are your takeaways:

  • Discover how to embrace an attitude of possibility and “yes, I can!”
  • Challenge your perception of a first impression vs a life-long-lasting connection
  • Accept the gift of learning by asking more questions and actually listening to the answers
  • Start looking for the value in every person and every circumstance that you encounter
  • Feed your imagination so you can unlock the power of your greatest potential
  • Commit to never giving up on yourself and your teammates

Who is this presentation for?

Alvin’s process

It’s not about me!

After delivering over 3,500 presentations in the past 42 years, I’ve learned a lot about the professional speaking business. Yet, that simple statement above is perhaps the most important lesson of them all.

It’s the attitude behind my process. I don’t show up with a dry, canned speech. I come prepared to deliver a customized presentation that matches the objectives of your event.

Here’s how I do that:

Step 1

Let’s talk

Before you book me, let’s have an exploration call. I don’t care if we talk on the phone or schedule a Zoom video chat. I just want to talk with you and hear your story so we’re both sure that I’m a good fit for your event.

Step 2

Make a brilliant move and hire me!

When you hire me, you’re not just booking a gifted and engaging speaker who will WOW your audience. You’re also getting a partner who will passionately work with you to maximize the impact of your event.

Step 3

Tell us what you need

You have unlimited access to me and my office, which includes my wife and business partner, Darlene. She’ll provide whatever you need from us to prepare for your event:

- Written bios and introductions? Of course!
- High-resolution photos for your program? You got it!
- Committee conference calls? No problem!
- Pre-event video promotion that’s customized for you? Absolutely!
- Something else? Just ask!

Step 4

Relax

Remember: it’s not about me! We’re here to serve you. For a guy with no arms, I’m surprisingly low maintenance. You can depend on me to be responsive, show up early, and stick around to meet and greet your audience. Learn more about how I travel and prepare for your event.

Step 5

Get excited

Whether I’m opening your event with a tone-setting keynote or re-energizing your key messages in a closing presentation, you and your audience will be moved and inspired. You can count on me to deliver an experience that you will remember for the rest of your lives.
